Like working with people? Want to help your community? We need volunteers to join the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide income tax preparation program for lower income and elderly clients. Our services are always free to all of our clients.
No previous tax preparation experience is necessary, volunteers receive free comprehensive tax preparation training leading to IRS certification. We supply all materials and equipment needed. You do not need to be an AARP member or retiree to participate.
This is a very rewarding opportunity to assist people who need help with their income taxes. We have many locations throughout the San Gabriel Valley, one near your home. You can volunteer for one day per week or more. We especially need Spanish speaking volunteers. If you would like to help, but don't actually want to prepare taxes, we have other opportunities to assist in management and technology.
Training begins in January 2020 and we work through early April.

The nation's largest free tax assistance and preparation service, giving special attention to lower income and older clients, in 2014 we had 35,000 volunteers at over 5,000 sites nationwide, and provided 2.6 million people with free tax help.
