ORGANIZATION: Food Literacy Center

About the Opportunity : Food Literacy Center is a largely volunteer-run agency in a period of high growth and expansion throughout the Sacramento region. The Finance and Operations intern will help the nonprofit's administrative headquarters run smoothly by assisting with bookkeeping- primarily Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and Office Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping

  • Assist with keeping office organized, including executive and board scheduling, meeting minutes, calendars, etc.


Qualifications:

Minimum 1 years' coursework or experience in finance or administration.

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree.

  • Passion for our mission.

  • Some nights and weekends. A flexible schedule is required.

  • Reliable transportation and California driver's' license.


Not required, but preferred:

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and databases.

  • Basic cooking skills. (Home cooking is OK!)
