Special Olympics Florida relies on dedicated volunteers to provide year-round sports training and athletic competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities who wish to participate, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community
Special Olympics Florida is excited to host the 2022 Special Olympics Florida State Basketball Tournament, which will be held February 18-19 and February 25-26.
Volunteers are needed to serve as scorekeepers and assist with the basketball games for hundreds of athletes. You can make a difference by joining us at either tournament.
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Friday, February 18 from 12:00pm-5:00pm
Saturday, February 19 from 7:30am-12:00pm
Saturday, February 19 from 11:00am - 4:00pm
Friday, February 25 from 12:00pm-5:00pm
Saturday, February 26, from 7:30am-12:00pm
Saturday, February 26, from 11:00am-4:00pm

Description
Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
