ORGANIZATION: Abandoned Pet Rescue

Individuals come to the shelter and take dogs for walks to help socialize them, train them walking on a leash and spending a little one on one time with them. Certain guidelines must be follow to ensure no dog gets loose. Extreme care must be made as many people are coming and going and the dogs' welfare is the main concern. One dog is walked at a time and double leashed. Interested individuals must be 21yrs old.

Dogs are walked on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday from 11:30am - 2:30pm.

This opportunity does not qualify for school or community service hours.

Abandoned Pet Rescue is a non-profit organization, dedicated to rescuing and fostering abandoned pets and placing them in loving homes. Founded in 1996, Abandoned Pet Rescue gives medical attention to injured and sick animals, educates the public about responsible pet ownership and reduces the feral cat population through a rescue/neuter/adoption program. Abandoned Pet Rescue is an all volunteer, 501 (C)(3) not for profit organization dedicated to rescuing and fostering abandoned pets and placing them in loving homes.

Description

Abandoned Pet Rescue gives shelter to homeless, sick and abandoned animals. Once examined and nursed back to health they are available for adoption to loving homes.
