We're looking for art education advocates who are willing to be the in-person liason for schools in New York.

WHAT WE NEED: We are hoping to connect a team of local advocates to schools in New York. These advocates will establish contact with local schools without an arts program, dropping off flyers and introducing the Doodles organization.

WHAT THIS ENTAILS:

We offer a free art program to schools, and we are looking for advocates who can drop of flyers in person & introduce themselves and the Doodles program.

When replying, please specify where in New York you are located and where you would be able to travel.

HOW THIS WILL HELP

Our curriculum is designed to be implemented by educators irrespective of their background in the arts. We believe that a quality art education is important for all students to experience, and that it can contribute not only to the creation of fantastic artists, but also help develop cross-curricular skills. To this end, we want to make it easy for classroom teachers, parent volunteers, and after-school programs to offer a high-quality, holistic, and engaging art education to their students.

We are a national non-profit, and we know that sometimes it's just nice to have a connection that you can see and speak to in person. So, our School Liasons will help by being a local face that the schools can connect with. Additionally, they will be the schools first contact with Doodles Academy, and as such will help establish the foundation of the relationship between the school and the organization.

Doodles Academy aims to expand children's access to high-quality arts education, envisioning a world where every child receives an arts education that inspires and rewards creativity, growth and problem solving.

Doodles achieves this goal by providing an online curriculum that includes video examples, lesson plans, supply lists, and links to Common Core and Visual Art standards. Doodles Academy makes it easy for educators of all types and experience levels to bring a comprehensive and open-ended art curriculum to their students.

Doodles Academy projects allow room for every child to tell her own story. By providing lessons that scaffold skills and ideas, students are challenged to think complexly without becoming overwhelmed.
