A 2013 experiment (http://www.scmagazine.com/experiment-shows-how-often-hackers-want-to-attack-critical-infrastructure/article/284910/) highlighted some of the risks to our nation's critical infrastructure. Specifically, it showed that hackers actively target water plants and other systems and are willing to cause harm or damage.

We would like to replicate this experiment, while also highlighting some of the Operations Security implications that increase the likelihood of such an attack. However, we lack the technical expertise to build the honeypots that replicate a convincing ICS/SCADA.

We're looking for one or more volunteers that are able to build a honeypot that accuately replicates a SCADA/ICS system, which can be exploited by hackers of varying skill levels. This will allow us to document the problem and the need for greater security for these important systems.
