Mission Statement
Florida is a state very vulnerable to invasive exotic plant and animal species. These invasive species displace and out compete native species. Our goal is to focus on the removal of exotic species that infest our state parks. Not only is our diverse environment at risk but invasive species account for billions of dollars spent every year across the Unites States to simply manage!! Everyone can help this cause!
Description
Florida Conservation Corps, formerly known as Florida State Parks AmeriCorps, develops natural and cultural resource leaders by connecting them to areas of critical need in conservation, preservation, interpretation, and resource based recreation. We mainly serve in the Florida State Parks to survey and remove invasice exotic plant species.
