ARE YOU A GOOD COMMUNICATOR? Do you have Diabetes or have a family member with Diabetes? Do you want to help others in the community learn to manage their Diabetes and its symptoms? Nevada Senior Services is looking for several dedicated individuals to become leaders to present Stanford University Diabetes Self-Management Workshops in the Las Vegas Valley. Must be able to attend a four day training January 23-26, 2017 and be able to commit to teaching a minimum of two workshops annually. Workshops are 2-1/2 hours, taught once a week, for six consecutive weeks. Nevada Senior Services supplies all materials and will cover training fees. Medical experience NOT required. This program is designed to be taught by lay leaders.
