Grants managers generally work in nonprofit and academic organizations, since the job is focused on generating grant funding for research and/or nonprofit work. As the name implies, a grants manager works with internal staff to determine funding needs and how funds will be - and are being - used; they also work with external organizations such as foundations and government agencies to acquire funding. This is a volunteer based opportunity. Volunteer hours can be grated for any school, etc.
The job requires strong writing skills, since most grant applications require in-depth descriptions (including the proposed use of the funds). This position also requires strong accounting and finance skills, since a grant manager at a nonprofit may also have to handle auditing and bookkeeping to ensure grant money is properly spent. At an academic institution or larger nonprofit, these roles may be split between separate finance and funding personnel; at a smaller non-profit, these functions are generally merged into a single grant manager role.
A grant manager generally work entirely in the office setting and rarely travels to the granting institution to deliver the proposal. Usually, the grant manager works with the internal team and delivers the proposal via mail or email to the grant foundation. These professionals typically work during regular business hours, although overtime might be required, especially as deadlines approach.

Description
Since 2008 Angel ZOE has been giving back to the women and children of our community through hair services, babysitting services and back-to-school drives. We've felt the need to reach out to those cancer patients who need wigs or extension or those single moms who can't afford to get their hair done for an interview or be able to fully purchase supplies when it's time for their kids to return to school. For whatever reason, Angel ZOE has tried to be there.
