During these uncertain times, how can we help?

******* SUPER OPPORTUNITY for the RIGHT PERSON *******
Our organization needs assistance with the ongoing project of entering and managing the collection data in our Past Perfect software (Experience with Past Perfect NOT necessary, but would be great! We can train.). This important task entails entering and updating records in the system, being able to query the database and create reports as needed.
Specifically, the volunteer does not have to possess a background with Past Perfect, although that would be helpful. But a good familiarity with computers, data entry and search, and experience with databases whether end user or structured would be helpful. Accuracy and attention to detail critical.
Currently, we need curious individuals on Saturdays shifts are available.

The Stamford History Center, also known as the Stamford Historical Society, is an educational and research institution, whose primary functions are to collect, preserve, conserve, interpret, and exhibit materials relating to Stamford, Connecticut and New England.
Our resources include a Research Library, a Museum with changing exhibits, a photo archive, and an extensive collection of artifacts. We offer school programs and tours of our 1699 Hoyt-Barnum House. The History Center is dedicated to community enrichment through the presentation of exhibits, displays, special events, demonstrations, and participatory programs that have as their objective a population enlightened by an understanding of the past and committed to an objective vision for the future. As the Stamford History Center, we have a responsibility to all citizens of our community to preserve the varied experiences that reflect our cultural heritage.
We'll work with your schedule.
