Single Mothers Matter a 501(c)3 start-up nonprofit is seeking exciting active-working board members with innovative ideas that can help guide our organization to both growth and high impact. We are needing to build a team of board of directors totaling seven positions to include board president. Although experience as a board member is greatly desired, a willingness to serve as a member and to be trained is equally appreciated. The ideal member possesses a wilingness to commit to the agreed upon individual fund-raising annual donation, the ability to work well and collaborate with others, the time to commit, has business/professional skills, and a willingness to be an evangelist for the cause.

Single Mothers Matter desires to attract individuals that share the same passion to advocate for issues concerning single parent families and a vision for their economic empowerment. Our organization is a transitional housing program that provides long term housing in addition to programs and services that will equip these single mothers to obtain economic empowerment and to become leaders and ultimately serve the community that they reside in. The transitional home will be located in the city of Decatur, zip code 30034 (the South Dekalb area) of Dekalb County Georgia. We believe that every single mother needs support to raise healthy and productive children and we exist to give that support.
