Day of Unity Clothesline Holder~ Domestic Violence Awareness Month
ORGANIZATION: Walnut Avenue Family & Women's Center
Please visit the new page to apply.
Stand in solidarity with survivors and victims of domestic violence by holding a clothesline of clothes owned and decorated by survivors of DV. Varying colors of the shirts signify different types of domestic violence and abuse and their strong survivors.
Day of Unity is the focal point of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the entire month of October, during which we bring light, awareness, community, resources, and strength to the difficult issue of domestic violence that is too often left in the dark.
Come join us at Walnut Avenue Family and Women's Center as we partner with Monarch Services to hold the clotheslines as a memorial to those who have lost their lives to domestic violence and in solidarity for survivors.
Peace begins at home.
