Eagle Academy is one of the newest editions to our School Garden Partners Program cohort. Through this partnership, our team will help revitalize and transform their currently unused garden space into a living outdoor classroom and exploration area for teachers and students to utilize throughout the school year. Students, parents, and the school community will regularly be able to access this garden for after school garden clubs, during school lessons, and community celebrations. We will convene at 10am within the Eagle Academy garden to do a quick introduction before splitting up into smaller working groups.
Tasks for this Workday will include installing signage, removing old raised beds and debris, constructing and installing new raised beds as well as garden borders, building in-ground beds, clearing out weeds, spreading fresh mulch and compost, and planting seedlings.
Please dress in weather appropriate, outdoor work clothes as well as closed toe shoes. Participants are always encouraged to bring water bottles, sunscreen, and bug spray. City Blossoms will provide all gloves and tools. Please note that City Blossoms will host this workday rain or shine, unless otherwise specified.
Interested? E-mail us at info@cityblossoms.org for more information and to RSVP!
