Animal Rescue League Needs Help Recycling!

The Animal Rescue League of NH produces a lot of recyclables; cans, water bottles, cardboard boxes and office paper. We like to do our part to be green, but as a non-profit animal shelter, it isn't in our budget to pay for our recyclables to be picked up by the town. As such, we rely on volunteers to pick up our recyclables and bring them to the recycling center. For the past few years, the League has been very lucky to have two wonderful, reliable volunteers come pick up our recyclables weekly. However, this dynamic duo will soon be off to enjoy their well-earned retirment in sunny Florida, and we are looking for their replacements!

The schedule for this position is very, very flexible. The recycling bins in our kitchen fill up after about a week. The picture associated with with posting is of our recycling area, so you have an idea of the volume of recyclables we produce. If we had one volunteer for this position, they would likely need to be able to pick up weekly. However, if we are able to get more volunteers interested, then each volunteer wouldn't need to pick up as often. The pick ups could be done any time that there are staff in the building. There hours are:

Sunday-- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday-- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday-- 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday-- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday-- 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday-- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday-- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Once your application is accepted, you will also be asked to provide a copy of your driver's license, and a copy of your proof of auto insurance.
