We are seeking dedicated volunteers to work with our students after school! We would like individuals who have experience in working with middle and high school students, and have a passion for music. Volunteers should be able to facilitate self-expression with our students, helping them to learn how to express their unique experiences through songwriting. We require work in two hour sessions, held 3-5pm, Monday through Thursday. Volunteers are welcome to work one day a week, or as many as they are available.

Mission Statement
Empowering youth with self-expression and community engagement through music and technology education.
Description
Our organization provides innovative music education emphasizing individual self-expression in an after-school setting. We offer lessons in musical history and theory, songwriting techniques, rhythm, music recording and production, and marketing oneself as an artist. Our students learn the ways in which music has been interwoven into all aspects of the human experience and the importance of finding their unique artistic voice. The ultimate goal of our programis to transform young people into advocates for their communities; we achieve this when students are provided a safe space in which they can express their culture, struggles, and triumphs openly. The tangible success of creating a song that is true to your self and your experiences allows you to tackle every day obstacles and inspire others to do the same.
