The Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority (ARHA) operates a youth development program for low-income minority residents in the city. The program works with a host of community partners to build character, professionalism, leadership, and a spirit of entrepreneurship among its participants. This year long program works with a small group of select youth and exposes them to a variety of experiences and training sessions. Mentors are needed to help participants successfully navigate transition to adulthood, getting into college or seeking full-time employment. If you have a pssion for working with teens then this might be a gratifying volunteer opportunity for you. Program sessions occur mostly on Mondays from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
