Do you love all things that slither, hop, and slide? Do you have a passion for wildlife and helping your local community? Then volunteering at the WNC Nature Center is for you!
We have a volunteer position open for cleaning habitats for our educational reptiles and amphibians. Days available are Sundays.
We need reliable volunteers to help care for our educational herps. The volunteer duties include cleaning enclosures for snakes, turtles, and amphibians. Volunteers need to have good observation and cleaning skills. The volunteer needs to commit to one shift a week. Shifts take only one hour and can be completed at anytime during the day before closing. Must able to stoop and bend!
The WNC Nature Center is taking every precaution available to protect volunteers, guests, and staff in relation to COVID-19
- Disposable gloves will be made available to you during your shift
- Staff and visitors will be required to wear masks in your area
