DUTIES (Volunteer Opportunities):
Information Booth: You will be selling beer tickets, people’s choice voting tickets, Pumpkin Patch wristbands, and t-shirts. You will also be the main information booth at the event, and a first aid station. Pumpkin Patch Children’s Area: You will be overseeing our children’s area. This area will be a gated area, and includes two bounce houses, a face painter, pumpkin decorating and craft/game tables. One staff member will be the "Lead" and will be selling wristbands to get in (previous cash handling skills required). The rest of the volunteers will monitor the bounce house, making sure there are not too many kids bouncing at a time. You will also keep an eye on time, so that each child gets about the same amount of time in the house. You will also be overseeing the face painter, simply assisting if they need anything. For the craft area, the DG Junior Woman’s Club will be overseeing multiple crafts & games from 10am-12pm. The DG Library will also be overseeing this area between 1-3pm. You can assist them if necessary. For the pumpkin decorating area, assist children to take 1 pumpkin (only) and point out different materials they can use to decorate their pumpkin. You will be explaining what to do, making sure we do not run out of supplies, and keep everything running smoothly. Perimeter Duty: You will be monitoring the perimeter of the event. This is to be sure that guests are not leaving the event with alcohol. You will also be there to answer general questions about the event. Miscellaneous (Runner): This position will be assisting the event, where needed. Some responsibilities may include: transporting supplies to different areas of the park, setup or break down of tables, chairs, etc., food prep/server at Miner Mike’s food booth and crowd assistance.
