One of our clients, Wanda receives food from a church food bank. She needs to be picked up at her residence and transported to the church every Thursday evening to get food. She is required to attend their church service (Fairforest Church of God) as a prerequisite to getting food. The church service starts around 6pm and ends at @ 7pm. Once services are over they start distributing food. Wanda has to sign in before 6pm to get food. She likes to be there by at least 5pm to get a better selection of food choices. Wanda can direct you to the church location.

Mission Statement
Connecting people and housing solutions to eliminate homelessness.
Description
Established in 1997, the Upstate Homeless Coalition, now United Housing Connections, was established to address the needs of homelessness and the need for affordable, clean, safe housing for low-income families and individuals. The mission of "Connecting People & Housing Solutions to Eliminate Homelessness" reflects the multi-faceted objectives in the various programs. Expanding services to cover 14 counties of South Carolina, UHC provides permanent housing for those with disabilities, the elderly, and HIV/AIDS diagnosed. We provide transitional housing for those coming out homeless or crisis situation. We are the lead agency for the continuum of care, coordinating with other agencies caring for the homeless. Within the continuum, we are the lead agency providing HMIS services. Last year we assisted over 400 adults and children with these services.
