Each year, Florida Baptist Children’s Homes provides more than 50,000 services to children and families through Compassion Ministries - providing food, clothing, diapers and other items to those in crisis. In addition to meeting tangible needs through this ministry, we are also able to provide for the intangible needs of children, bringing life-changing support to families.
Warehouse Team Member Overview
The primary responsibility of this volunteer position is to work in the Harold Clark Simmons Compassion Center food warehouse area to help organize, move pallets, assist with pickups, stock, package food orders for community clients. Volunteers will also assist the Director of Maintenance regarding operations of the warehouse duties as accepting food donations from various vendors, partners, and other agencies.
Minimum of one half a day a week, Monday-Friday, and a minimum of a six month period of commitment is desired. However, there are opportunities for biweekly and monthly volunteers as well. Warehouse Team Members are scheduled on weekdays between 7AM-5PM.
