The Santa Barbara County Clerk Recorder is looking for motivated high school students to volunteer at the Hall of Records, located in the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. This opportunity would give you the chance to learn office skills while working in a beautiful and historic building in downtown Santa Barbara. Dedicated volunteers may also have a chance to work with historic documents from our archive and learn about historic records preservation.
Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a weekly schedule for either a set period of time or on an ongoing basis. Our office is a short walk from Santa Barbara High School.
