Community Mentors are needed to mentor at-risk youth, ages 14-16. Mentors will be trained collaboratively by Mission Milby and Milby High School staff. Mentors will provide support and encouragement. All mentors will be screened through the Houston ISD VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) program. To participate in the Mission Opportunity program you must make a commitment to participate for at least one year, preferably three years. You will follow one freshman till they graduate from high school.

The vision of Mission Milby CDC is to significantly reduce poverty in Houston's Pecan Park and the surrounding East End neighborhoods by revitalizing the community while preserving its heritage and honoring its culture and character.
