Easter Seals Iowa's respite program is looking for qualified volunteers to assist our health center on Friday afternoons. This opportunity is specifically for medical practitioners, graduate nursing students, pharmacy students, and medical students.

Our bi-weekly respite program serves 40 - 60 children and adults with disabilities in a fun and safe camp environment for a weekend! Medical volunteers are needed to help with meds management during respite check-in.

ABOUT RESPITE:

The Easter Seals Iowa Respite program provides temporary care for children and adults with disabilities, allowing parents/caregivers a break while providing the clients with a safe, and supported social environment. Regularly scheduled respite weekends are held at Easter Seals Iowa Camp Sunnyside twice monthly. Emergency care is also available. Respite services provide all the amenities at Camp Sunnyside including boating, swimming, horseback riding and much more.
