ORGANIZATION: United Way of Tri-County

The United Way of Tri-County is seeking face painters for our first annual 5K Run/Walk in Framingham! We are raising money to support early literacy, feed hungry families, and provide suicide prevention and mental health support.

This family friendly is scheduled on Saturday, October 15th. The run begins at 9:00 so we hope our face painter volunteers can arrive by 7:30 when runners and their families will be checking in.

We'll provide the table, chairs, water, and the face painter volunteers will provide the paint and their artistry! Please help us provide a fun, family friendly event for our participants by volunteering today!

Mission Statement

Our Mission at The United Way of Tri-County is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.

Description

Our Vision

United Way envisions a world where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability and healthy lives.

Our Mission

United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.

Our Goals

In 2008, United Way initiated a 10-year program designed to achieve the following goals by 2018:

Improve education, and cut the number of high school dropouts " 1.2 million students, every year " in half.

Help people achieve financial stability, and get 1.9 million working families " half the number of lower-income families who are financially unstable " on the road to economic independence.

Promote healthy lives, and increase by one-third the number of youth and adults who are healthy and avoid risky behaviors.

Our goals are ambitious, but with your help, and by utilizing our core strengths " a national network, committed partners and public engagement capacity " we can achieve them.
