The RSVP program at Volunteer Prince William is in need of compassionate volunteers who can transport veterans and their spouses/widows to necessary medical services on weekdays. Duties include pick up client at their home, drive them to their medical appointment/pharmacy and return the client safely to their home. Volunteers 55 and up are welcome. Must have safe, reliable transportation, valid driver's license, a good driving record, vehicle liability insurance (at a minimum) and access to a phone. Vehicle must have working seat belts for all occupants.
This need covers Manassas, Manassas Park and Prince William County. It doesn't matter if you live in Woodbridge or Haymarket - if you're available to help, let's talk!
RSVP volunteers receive a small mileage stipend to and from their volunteer activities plus liability insurance for their volunteer participation.
