  • Staffing the reception desk and greeting all clients (during Covid, little to no contact)
  • Triaging phone calls for emergency issues
  • Answering a multi-line phone (up to 3 lines, occasionally busy) and distributing to appropriate staff
  • Maintaining the overall appearance of the reception area
  • Providing general community resource information to clients and community stakeholders
  • Assisting with preparing risk reduction materials and occasional bulk mailings
  • Basic computer usage (minor data entry, mainly just looking up info)
  • Colorado Health Network follows Covid-19 guidance such as requiring face masks, social distancing, and handwashing. There is little to no client contact during Covid-19.

The mission of Colorado Health Network (CHN) is to equitably meet the evolving needs of people affected by HIV and other disease through prevention, care and advocacy.

Description

For more than 25 years, Southern Colorado Health Network (formerly SCAP) has been providing comprehensive and individualized care to men, women and children in southern Colorado who are living with HIV/AIDS.

As the only AIDS service organization in Southern Colorado, SCHN’s geographic service area encompasses 25 counties in Southeastern Colorado spanning from the central mountains of the state all the way south to the Colorado/New Mexico border, and as far east as the Colorado/Kansas border.

Today, the organization’s programs include case management, access to healthcare, mental health and substance abuse counseling referrals, a food bank, and legal referrals, in addition to a wide array of prevention outreach, testing, and education programs.
