You can get your lifting in every Saturday at the Uhuru Breakfast & Lunch booth @ The Saturday Market! Be a part of the food team that builds a future for African people worldwide!
Volunteers needed every Saturday October 6, 2018 - May 25, 2019 for set up and break down teams.
Set up team 5:30-8:30am:
- Loads food onto the truck at the Uhuru Jiko Community Commercial kitchen in south St. Pete
- Unloads the truck at Saturday Market (Rowdies Stadium parking lot, downtown St. Pete)
- Puts up the tents, gets the tables and grills in place, puts up banners and skirting
- Gets all the food and drinks into coolers for the cooks and servers
- Gets free breakfast!
Breakdown team 1:30-5pm
- Breaks down tables, banners, tents at Saturday Market and loads them onto the truck
- Helps clean grills, put away food and drinks and loads onto the truck
- Unloads food and dishes at Uhuru Jiko Community Commercial kitchen in south St. Pete
- Helps clean and reload dishes
- Gets free meal!
