Helen's Hope Chest provides Christmas presents to foster and kinship families under the program of JaKelle's Christmas Box in honor of a local young lady that tragically lost her life to a mysterious illness. Foster and Kinship families come to JaKelle's to "shop" for presents, stocking stuffers, stuffed animals and books for each of their children. Help us provide these items by hosting a drive to collect the gifts for donation. Your help makes all the difference. We served just under 3,000 children and teens las year and expect that we will be serving more this year. Please contact us by email or at 480-969-5411 for more information.

Mission Statement
Through our volunteer program we hope to connect individuals who desire to serve in the community with the opportunities that are available. HELENS HOPE CHEST helps foster children with their basic needs, giving children a similar experience of shopping in a consignment store. although the clothing is gently used, children in foster care are given the opportunity to select styles and colors they like. 16 individual rooms accommodate the basic needs of infants,toddlers,children, teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care. MESA VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER provides comprehensive support services to veterans and their families. The MVRC provides resources and referrals to assist in various areas including benefits claims, employment, mental health, and homelessness.
Description
Helens Hope Chest is opened Mon - Fri 8 -5 with the occasional Saturday. Our volunteers must respect the privacy of these delicate children.
We are looking for caring,reliable volunteers willing to commit to at least a year of service a minimum of 4 hours per week or more.
Mesa Veterans Resource Center is open Mon - Fri 8-4. We are looking for ongoing volunteers that can commit at least an hour a month.
