Want to volunteer for an opportunity that leaves a lasting impact? You can help hundreds of clients experiencing homelessness by volunteering your time to help launch an affordable housing website!
The Center at Blessed Sacrament is currently seeking skilled web designers to donate their professional expertise to help us launch a new website! We are creating a website to be used as a tool for homeless service providers, and their clients, in the Metro LA area. The website would function as an affordale housing data-base, pulling information from various sources to create a compiled, easy accessible collection of vacant units and properties.
This opportunity is flexible--you can work from home, or from our office in Hollywood. We are open to brainstorming and creative ideas. To learn more about this opportunity, please email Jocelyn@thecenterinhollywood.org

Mission Statement
Our mission is to be an organization devoted to healing and centered on individual wellness and community, to be an advocate for those in Hollywood without shelter, and to lead and collaborate with others to develop and implement solutions that lead to resilience and housing. We believe that providing someone a home is not enough without the support of an inclusive community. Every day we provide a safe and encouraging space for those experiencing homelessness on our streets. The Center’s staff creates and sustains an environment where participants are encouraged to thrive and flourish through groups and community engagement. The Center has become a hub of leadership in the fight to end chronic homelessness in Los Angeles.
Description
* We believe that providing a welcoming, safe and healing community is a first step to ending isolation and creating opportunities for future housing.
* We are committed to remaining a trauma informed center that engenders trust, safety, consistent boundaries, and a place where individuals can make their own decisions about program participation and housing.
* We accept and work with our participants wherever they are in their lives.
* We believe in treating all people with dignity, respect and an understanding that we are part of one community.
* We are committed to collaboration to accomplish our mission because no single agency can solve isolation and homelessness.
* We believe that an integrated approach will be most successful in meeting the needs of a diverse homeless population.
