Girls on the Run-Chicago is looking for individuals and groups of friends and family to come out to "Charity Mile" (Mile 14 of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon course) and cheer on our Team Girls on the Run SoleMates (250 runners who are taking on the marathon and have fundraised for our organization)!

Girls on the Run-Chicago is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit after-school program that uses the power of running to educate and prepare 3rd-8th grade girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The innovative program combines training for a 5k event with interactive lessons that encourage positive emotional, social, mental, and physical development.

Description
Girls on the Run is a life-changing, experiential learning programs for girls in 3rd through 8th grade. The program combines training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing and empowering workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
