Nature's Educators is looking for volunteers interested in being trained to handle our animal ambassadors and be able to give presentations to all age groups and venues. You would go through all of our trainings and shadow multiple programs before doing your own. Our group gives talks throughout the year and even multiple each day! We need people that are available on weekends and people that are available during the week. We visit schools, nature centers, birthday parties, festivals, fairs, libraries, and more. We teach about conservation, habitats, adaptations, diets, anatomy, etc. of our ambassadors at hand. Our ambassadors include: birds of prey, pigeons, small mammals, invertebrates, reptiles, and amphibians.

Location:

Mission Statement
Our mission is to elevate the care and protection of wildlife by fostering memorable connections that inspire our community to become more environmentally conscious through collaboration, education, and rehabilitation.
Description
We are an educational wildlife program licensed by CO Parks and Wildlife, USDA, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service to care for non-releasable and captive bred raptors for education. We also work with reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and other small animals. Our volunteers learn to care for the animals, run nature center shifts, clean enclosures, offer enrichment, learn to handle, and learn to give educational presentations if they are a good fit for public speaking. Volunteers also will be feeding, re-wrapping perches and screens, landscaping, etc. We take our volunteer team very seriously and individuals need to read our requirements to make sure they are a good fit for us, and we are a good fit for them.
