Cornell Cooperative Extension Invasive Species Weed Pull

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: UlsterCorps

Cornell Cooperative extension of Ulster County will be doing an invasive clean-up with the Ashokan Watershed Management program. We are seeking volunteers who might be interested and available to help us with a streamside project in two weeks at the Manla Mountain Retreat in Phoenicia. It is a Saturday, September 24 from 10:00am to approximately 3:00pm.

We will be pulling invasive plants and learning about invasive plants in the Catskill area. We will be providing tools and gloves and also lunch. Other volunteers from the area and the CCE Master Gardeners will be joining us. The Menla Retreat is also supplying participants.
The area is slated to be replanted by the Catskill Buffer Initiative next spring with native plants. The volunteers will be supervised and instructed by staff from the Ashokan program and CCE.

If you can help out register below, or contact Dona at 845-340-3990 ext. 335, dm282@cornell.edu
