We are looking for 10 volunteers to help on Saturday, October 22nd from 9:45am-12:15pm at the Michigan First Credit Union Shred Day event to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank. We are looking for volunteers to collect food and cash donations and to assist with unloading cars with the items that are going to be shredded.
The event is located at Michigan First Credit Union at 27000 Evergreen, Lathrup Village, MI 48076
We welcome high school volunteers if volunteering with a parent or guardian.

Description
For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
