About the Organization:
True Mentors mission is to unearth the excellence of youth ages 7-17 in Hoboken through relationships. We have three main programs that help us form relationships with youth : clubs, mentoring, and internships.
This position focuses on coordinating new volunteers, welcoming them to the class, helping them get engaged with the children, facilitating interactions between volunteers, attending volunteer training, & sending out updates of schedules to class volunteers.

One time- travel & fee required
Follow-up with new volunteers , communicate with missing volunteers & communicate schedule with active volunteers.
An additional 30 min per month
Duties of the Position:
(Primary Duties ) :
Attend weekly cla sses with consistency and take volunteer attendance.
Int roduces new volunteers at class to kids and other volunteers .
Keep active volunteers informed of general class schedule and expectations as well as the next training schedule.
Add new volunteers to CRM platform and track if they have attended training or been fingerprinted.
Consistency in follow-up with volunteers after they attend a class to thank them for coming and i nvite them to the next training .
Reach out to volunteers who have missed class for a month or more and ask them if they are still volunteering with us.
(Secondary Duties ):
Inform volunteers of other opportunities to be involved with True mentors.
Facilitate relationship building between the class volunteers & children .
Requirements of the Position:
Should be at least 18 years of age and live in Hoboken or surrounding area .
Should be able to attend weekly classes for 8 hours a month.
Should be consistent on email to follow up with new volunteers , active volunteers, and volunteers who have not been a ttending classes.
Friendly and open to meeting new people.

Ability to engage new volunteers and communicate consistently , along with consistency in attendance and performing duties will indicate the volunteer's outstanding abilities and thus he/she may be given more responsibilities and a suitable position depending on organizations needs and desire of volunteer.
