(CFEI) Compassionate Farming Education Initiative (http://www.compassionatefarming.org) is an all-volunteer educational 501c3 non-profit organization that provides education in the realm of ANIMAL RIGHTS/ETHICS, PLANT-BASED NUTRITION and the ENVIRONMENT!
We are planning to overhaul our ancient HTML/CSS website into a Wordpress site, in an effort to provide the public with a more visually-captivating and user-friendly experience. We will need to transfer our current site content (particularly the resources and sanctuary directory sections), as well as add in a backlog of links yet to be added.
We need help with
- Transferring HTML-based content to Wordpress platform
- Wordpress updates and customization
- Content formatting
- Content management
- Site QA
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic knowlege of HTML/CSS
- Moderate to expert knowledge of Wordpress
- Attention to detail
- Digital content management experience
- FTP
- Ability to take feedback & direction, as well as be innovative and a self-starter
DESIREABLE:
- An interest in research and gathering new applicable content
- An interest in (or learning about) animal rights awareness and a plant-based (vegan) lifestyle

Description
Compassionate Farming Education Initiative is a 501c3 vegan educational non-profit organization based out of southeast Florida. CFEI is committed to creating conscious, educated, empowered consumers; thereby shifting mass industry towards vegan, sustainable products. We help people to transition their diets and lifestyle into an ethical vegan model, while learning about animal sentience and the rich emotional and intellectual capacities of typically "farmed" animals. We do this through outreach and education, utilizing online and open-source materials.
We seek to shift the old paradigm of farming. We believe that Compassionate Farming is Plant-Based Farming. It is an essential shift, for our world is in peril - and animal agriculture is the leading cause of greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, deforestation, water depletion, ocean acidification, species extinction and world hunger. The animals suffer, our planet suffers and our health suffers.
