Volunteer will assist staff with the agencies weekly trip to the Gift In Kind center in Spartanburg.
- Meet staff at UHC's office
- Ride with staff to the GIK Center
- Assist with loading items into car
- Unload items and store in our warehouse
- Stay in constant contact with staff about weekly trips

Description
Established in 1997, the Upstate Homeless Coalition, now United Housing Connections, was established to address the needs of homelessness and the need for affordable, clean, safe housing for low-income families and individuals. The mission of "Connecting People & Housing Solutions to Eliminate Homelessness" reflects the multi-faceted objectives in the various programs. Expanding services to cover 14 counties of South Carolina, UHC provides permanent housing for those with disabilities, the elderly, and HIV/AIDS diagnosed. We provide transitional housing for those coming out homeless or crisis situation. We are the lead agency for the continuum of care, coordinating with other agencies caring for the homeless. Within the continuum, we are the lead agency providing HMIS services. Last year we assisted over 400 adults and children with these services.
