OS Outreach is looking for positive adults to be Mentors for local youth. We are a youth development nonprofit that fosters self-confidence, leadership skills, and positive decision making in underserved youth. Our programs are unique in their use of adventure sports to engage participants for future success. SOS Sherpas are mentors who work closely with a specific group of youth. Sherpas are active in their youths’ lives and act as a positive role model, promoting healthy decision making. Check out our website at www.sosoutreach.org to learn more about SOS.

Description
SOS Outreach is an outdoor adventure sports-based youth development organization. Our goal is to help build character, self-esteem, and leadership skills in at-risk youth through outdoor adventure sports. We partner with youth-serving agencies and resorts to provide multi-day programs that incorporate a set of core values (courage, discipline, integrity, wisdom and compassion). The youth learn to ski or snowboard or continue to improve while becoming active member is in their community through servie projects, community events, and life skill workshops.
