1145 Wilshire Blvd.Los Angeles, CA 90017

Asian Americans Advancing Justice - LA and the Your Vote Matters Coalition is looking for volunteers to work on and before the November 8 Presidential Election. We need phone bankers to call Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) and ensure they vote and poll monitors to protect the rights of AANHPI voters on Election Day!

Why Phone Bank?

  • Calling voters allows them to ask questions about the voting process.
  • By being informed voters, the AANHPI community will be empowered voters.
  • By providing bilingual and culturally competent voting services, we can increase voter turnout.
  • A meal will be provided for each shift.
  • Stipends are available. You will be advised if you qualify.

Phone Banking Requirements

  • Must attend a two hour training (dates/times provided later on in the application)
  • Must be able to travel to Advancing Justice-LA’s office in Downtown Los Angeles
  • Sign up for shift(s) that fit your schedule: M-Th (5:30-8:30 PM) & Saturdays (10AM-1PM)
  • Bilingual in English and at least one of the following is preferred: Bangla, Cantonese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, Thai, Samoan, Urdo, or Vietnamese

Why Poll Monitor?

  • Poll monitoring ensures AANHPI voters are gaining access to multilingual resources.
  • Monitoring helps protect the rights of AANHPI voters.
  • This project makes sure that AANHPI voters are not turned away on election day.
  • Stipends are available. You will be advised if you qualify.

Poll Monitoring Requirements

  • Must attend a 1.5 hour training (dates/times provided later on in the application)
  • Be available for 2.5 hours on election day (November 8)
