2708 S Nelson StArlington, VA 22206

Beginning the week of September 19th, AFAC's new Healthy Play Initiative program--a pilot program designed to provide children accompanying their parent or guardian to an AFAC distribution center 30-45 minutes of safe, structured healthy play--will kickoff!

We will need a maximum of nine volunteers dedicated to this program, who can commit to help HPI leaders for the length of the school year. Ideally, we would have the same three volunteers at each site during HPI time/distribution time each week. Spanish-speaking volunteers particularly appreciated, especially for the start of the program. The sites and times are:
  • Arlington Mill Community Center--Mondays--10:45am to 1:15pm
  • South Nelson Street--Wednesdays--9:45am to 12:15pm
  • Gates of Ballston (Buckingham)--Fridays--12:45pm to 3:15pm
