Helping Hands of Vegas Valley is partnering with Walker Furniture for the 4th year in a row to help process the nomination letters for their annual Home For The Holidays project. This year, Walker Furniture will be giving 35 local families in need, furniture to fill their homes!
We are looking for 1 or 2 dedicated volunteers looking to make a huge difference this upcoming holiday season. The volunteer(s) for this opportunity will be responsible for communicating with project volunteers via phone and email, printing out all nomination letters that come through email and prepare them to be read, monitor groups that have off-site reading and help with scheduling of home visits.

Serving Seniors 60 and Greater in Our Community Since 2000
Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and greater in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and above in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.
Our programs include:
A well-stocked pantry providing nutritious food items
Respite care for caregivers, offering much-needed breaks
Reliable transportation services to medical appointments and other essential destinations
Minor home repair assistance to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions
Nutrition programs designed to promote healthy eating habits and overall well-being
All types of volunteers are welcome: Groups, families, individuals, organizations. One time commitments to long term commitments!
