Friends of Oak Cliff Parks

The Friends of Oak Cliff Parks and The Dallas Park and Recreation Department invites individuals, schools, business/community groups and corporate teams to participate in a volunteer work day at the Kiest Park Conservation Area, Saturday, October 1, 9am-Noon. Volunteers will park and meet at the Kiest Memorial Garden, located at 3080 S. Hampton Road, Dallas, Texas 75224 (Enter park off Kiest Boulevard; turn at Conservation Drive).

After receiving instructions, volunteers will walk to the Kiest Park Conservation Area.
Volunteers widen an existing trail in a conservation area and open an new trail. This work involves trimming and removing brush and clearing the trail. Once the trail is cleared, we will spread mulch.

Please wear hats, gloves, long sleeves shirts and long pants, sun block and insect repellent. Participants should bring clippers, loppers, shovels, rakes, and hand saws if they have them. Water and snacks will be provided.
