ORGANIZATION: Options For All

E&CO is seeking volunteers to serve on our various committees; they are as follows:

  1. Programs & Services Committee - This board committee provides direction and ideas regarding the programs and services we currently provide and will provide in the future. This committee assists in the research and development of new programs and services for E&CO to explore. A key focus has been on the development of services to serve individuals with autism. This committee meets 3-4 times per year and members can join by conference call.

  2. Finance Committee - This board committee oversees the finances of E&CO. This committee reviews and approves the organizations budget and financial reports and assists the full board in understanding the organization’s finances. This committee meets 4-5 times per year by conference call.

  3. Audit Committee - This board committee interviews and recommends the audit firm to the board. They also meet with the audit firm and oversee the organization’s audit process and recommend the approval of the audit to the full board. This committee meets 3-4 times per year generally by conference call.

  4. Governance Committee - This board committee insures the governance practices of our organization are current. Responsibilities include reviewing bylaws and recruiting new board members. This committee meets 4-6 times per year generally by conference call.

  5. Microenterprise Committee - This committee works to help E&CO staff develop small business and micro-enterprise business opportunities for our participants to be employed. The goal is to assist our program participants to have control of their lives and their own business opportunities. This committee meets every three months.

  6. San Diego Event Planning Committee - This committee operates in San Diego and works to engage the community more fully in the activities and mission of the agency, enriching the lives of all through our annual fundraising event. This committee champions the work of E&CO to friends, family, colleagues, and the community while assisting in planning, coordinating and volunteering to put on the most successful event possible. The San Diego Event Planning committee meets monthly in the 6 months leading up to our major fundraiser.

  7. Public Relations & Marketing Committee - This committee will support the organizations efforts to increase the brand and name recognition of E&CO. The goals of this committee are to assist the organization in increasing our name & brand recognition through stronger community presence and awareness of our services in all the communities where we deliver services. We want to raise the visibility of the organization in the broader nonprofit committee and with the general public. This committee will meet 6-8 times per year.

  8. Philanthropic Outreach Committee - This committee is an advisory committee consisting of board members and supportive members of the E&CO community. Alongside the organizations leadership and Philanthropic Outreach Department this committee is to oversee and approve the organizations fundraising and philanthropic outreach efforts. This committee provides the leadership, advocacy and assists with deliverables to meet the overall philanthropy goals for E&CO. This committee meets in person but is available via conference call and meets 4-6 times annually.
