How would you like to take the beauty of Shabbat to seniors in long term care once a month? With supplies you pick up from JFCS you go to a specific long term care facility each 3rd Friday afternoon to take challah, prayers and lights to Jewish seniors.
Wonderful family mitzvah, single opportunity or small group activity. Each volunteer also receives a bakery-fresh challah and the satisfaction of doing good.

JFCS offers programming and services dealing with issues of family, work, education, seniors, immigrants and refugees. We offer a sliding fee scale so that our services are available to everyone. Just as the seasons change, so do circumstances throughout a person's life, and we are here to help.
