The Jefferson School African American Heritage Center is seeking volunteer docents. Docents guide group tours through the Jefferson School and Heritage Center exhibits while telling the history of the building, the stories of its people, and explaining the Jefferson School's place in the community today. Docents will be trained in the history of the school as well as in educational programs which cater to student-aged visitors.

A love of history and comfort with public speaking are pluses.
