The College Tutor position is ideal for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience within a community-based nonprofit working one-on-one with adults reengaging in education. The position involves working together with the Education Matters team to tutor and support students in our College program. Tutors will assist students in preparing for college-entrance placement tests, as well as in college courses. Subject matter will primarily focus on mathematics (basic through college-level Algebra) and language arts.

Description
Education Matters is a non-profit in Lower Price Hill and East Price Hill that re-engages adults in education. We offer three key programs: Education Forward (GED), College Bridge, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). We provide both classroom and one-on-one instruction to meet students where they are at and assist them in achieving their educational goals. Our vision is a city where all people have the opportunity to access the power of education.
