ORGANIZATION: Refugee Center & Community School at Reynolds Middle School

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 9 people are interested

The Refugee Center & Community School at Reynolds Middle School offers a culturally-appropriate food pantry for refugees and entrants throughout Lancasater County. We receive regular donations, and we are seeking volunteers to update inventory on a monthly basis to keep up with our pantry offerings.

Volunteers should be organized, passionate about refugee related issues, and dedicated to supporting the Refugee Center's work through indirect service. This position is crucial to enabling our center to continue to offer familiar items, not often found in regular food banks, to our refugee clients.

In service of this mission, RMS offers an Extended Day Program (EDP) at RMS throughout the school year, giving students a safe place to hang out after school, extra help with homework, and enrichment opportunities. RCCSR also offers parent workshops, refugee student support services, cultural navigation, and a uniform bank, all for students and their families.
