Seeking an organized leader to serve as a Community Connections Representative

Position Purpose: Assist the organization in establishing a presence in the community through community outreach and engagement

• Educate community on sickle cell anemia and sickle cell trait
• Provide resource information related to accessing care
• Coordinate and implement community events, including existing partnerships and various community initiatives
• Assist in connecting individuals to community social services and agencies
• Ability to travel throughout the city of Houston and local surrounding counties
• Uphold both the organization's mission and core values in all programs

Critical Skills Required:

• Self-starter, able to work independently, communicate effectively, prioritize and follow instruction
• Focused, strong sense of personal accountability, mission driven
• Energetic, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Your own reliable transportation
• Subject to state and federal background checks and other requirements needed to work in schools, with children
