Rain garden volunteers at Beardsley Zoo

We are looking for volunteers to help with a Habitat Restoration event at the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport. Save the Sound hosted a volunteer planting event at the site in 2014 but some of the plants did not survive and invasive species have begun to take over. The goal of this event is to weed out the invasive species and plant more native species along the riverbank. We hope you can join us to help protect the Pequonnock River and Long Island Sound!

Wear clothies and shoes/boots that can get dirty.

Parking available at the Wonderland of Ice, just next to Glenwood Park where we will be planting.

All volunteers welcome! Bring your friends and family!!
