About

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is an official charity partner with the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and is seeking friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic volunteers for support at the Abbott Health and Fitness Expo during the Chicago Marathon race weekend. The Expo hosts vendors featuring the latest in running footwear and apparel, nutrition, and technology. Additionally, the Expo is the home of packet pick-up for all marathon participants.

Volunteers will assist the OAR staff in distributing materials and information about OAR and the RUN program, recruiting new runners for future RUN events, maintaining a clean Expo space, and packing up all materials from the Expo space at the end of the day. Volunteers will receive a free RUN FOR AUTISM t-shirt. Community service letters can be provided for school credit.
