Time commitment: 5-7 hours for event (includes volunteer orientation/training, setup, and takedown time)
In addition to our regular programming, Mirror Image Arts holds different events throughout the year, not only to raise funds to support our operations, but also to raise awareness and celebrate with our many supporters.
We are currently looking for volunteer support for our 5th annual I Got Your Back! fundraising event at Converge Denver (3327 Brighton Blvd., Denver). The event is from 5:30p-9p on October 21st. There will be setup (1.5 hrs before event) and clean up time (60 min post event) that adds to the total time commitment. We will also need all volunteers associated with this event to be available for an orientation/training session the day of event.
As a member or this Event team, you would provide organizational and operational support during the execution of the event including event day set-up, guest assistance and registration, food service, and clean up.
Support:
Event volunteers work under the direction of various members of the event committee, staff or other volunteers, who will provide task-specific training.
Skills/qualifications:
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Be able to provide outstanding customer service and remain professional at all times
Be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask
Be able to think and respond quickly to offer solutions to problems/issues
Feel comfortable in performing cash and credit card transactions
Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to: Google Docs and Google Drive

Silent and Live Auction Help
Registration
Greeting and Directing Guests
Drawing Ticket donations
Food Prep/Bar Service
Other Miscellaneous Tasks
Benefits:
Volunteers are able to attend the event free of charge. All Mirror Image Arts volunteers are also invited to attend our Holiday Brews and News event, receive Mirror Image Arts’s enewsletter, and receive credit for your support in our holiday quarterly newsletter. Event volunteers may also have the opportunity to learn new skills from professionals, meet others in the community, while supporting youth positively impacting their communities.

OUR VISION: Young people knowing and owning their value and purpose so they take responsibility for their impact.
WHO WE ARE: We use theatre as our vehicle to create a safe environment where participants can engage in open dialogue about important social issues. Our current focus is Bullying Prevention, but our programming concept is versatile. The Mirror Image Arts experience includes theatrically inspired artistic expression as well as critical thinking exercises such as Scholastic Problem Solving, root cause analysis and reflective processing. We believe that an empowered community has the power to affect positive social change. We are empowering our youth to generate change in the moment and see the value in their voices and the impact of their decisions.
